COLUMBIA, S.C. – The South Carolina Gamecocks were well-represented in the latest Top 25 poll from the College Swimming Coaches Association of America, with the men coming in at 17 this week. In last week’s poll (men’s and women’s top 25 alternate weeks), the women were receiving votes in the poll.

The men are coming off back-to-back weekend competing against some of the very best in the country, with duals against current No. 11 team Alabama on Oct. 31 and No. 5 Florida last weekend.

The CSCAA poll is a gauge on which teams would win head-to-head against other teams in the country. Ranking are based on performances that have taken place since the previous poll and include invites as well as dual meets.

The Gamecocks are back in action later this month for the Georgia Tech Invitational in Atlanta, Ga. The three-day event gets underway for the men and women’s programs starting Thursday, Nov. 19.
