Dec. 10, 2015
University of South Carolina freshman offensive center Zack Bailey has been named to the Coaches’ SEC All-Freshman team, it was announced today.
Bailey, a 6-6, 320-pounder from Summerville, S.C., played in all 12 games in 2015, making five starts. He was pressed into service at Georgia after injuries sidelined the team’s top two centers. He made his first career start against UCF and graded out at 80 percent in the win. Bailey also made the start at center against both Missouri and Vanderbilt. He had never played center prior to his arrival at South Carolina. The true freshman moved to left guard and made the start at that position in each of the final two regular season games against The Citadel and Clemson.
