University of South Carolina football has announced that high school senior Bryan Edwards from Conway, S.C., has officially signed his financial aid agreement and will enroll in January. Edwards joins prep standouts C.J. Freeman and Brandon McIlwain and junior college transfer Jamarcus King as mid-year signees.

Wide receiver who will graduate from Conway (S.C.) High School at the end of the fall semester and enroll in January… coached by Chuck Jordan… considered one of the state’s top players as a senior in 2015 until suffering a season-ending knee injury in late October… was a finalist for South Carolina’s “Mr. Football”… finished his senior campaign with 53 catches for 969 yards and nine scores… selected for the Shrine Bowl and the US Army All-American Game… finished his high school career with 188 catches for 2,562 yards and 32 touchdowns… Rivals ranks him as a four-star prospect, the fourth-best player in the Palmetto State and the 20th best “athlete” in the country… considered a four-star prospect, the third-best player in the state and the 12th best wide receiver in the country by 247Sports… ESPN also ranks him as a four-star prospect, the state’s fifth-best player and the nation’s 60th-best wide receiver… also had Clemson in his top two schools.
