The University of South Carolina football team will host the Marshall Thundering Herd on Saturday, September 15, 2018, it was announced today.

Marshall, a member of Conference USA, went 10-3 during the 2015 campaign under head coach Doc Holliday, including a 16-10 win over UConn in the St. Petersburg Bowl.

The game will mark the second gridiron meeting between the two schools. Marshall came to Columbia on Sept. 19, 1998 and handed the Gamecocks a 24-21 setback.

The Gamecocks have previously announced a pair of non-conference games for the 2017 season. They will open the ’17 campaign in Charlotte against North Carolina State in the Belk College Kickoff Game over Labor Day weekend, and will host Louisiana Tech on Saturday, Sept. 23.
