Three football players have elected to forego their final year of eligibility at South Carolina and will not return for their senior season in 2017 following their graduation from the University, Gamecocks’ head football coach Will Muschamp announced today.

Wide receiver Jamari Smith, who graduated in December with a degree in public health; defensive back Jasper Sasser, who is on track to graduate in May with a degree in sport and entertainment management; and running back David Williams, who is slated to graduate in May with a degree in retail management; are no longer part of the Carolina football squad, according to Coach Muschamp.

“All three of these student-athletes will have earned their degrees at the University of South Carolina,” noted Coach Muschamp. “We appreciate their contributions to the program and wish them the best in the future.”
