Vincent Named SEC Diver of the Week for Third Time This Season

COLUMBIA, S.C. — University of South Carolina junior Julia Vincent has been named Southeastern Conference Women’s Diver of the Week, the league office announced today. The weekly honor is the third of Vincent’s collegiate career, as well as third of the season.
Vincent won the 3-meter dive at the Tennessee Diving Invitational on January 3 and took sixth in the 1-meter the following day. The junior posted a score of 365.90 in the 3-meter and 269.45 in the 1-meter.
She also helped the Gamecocks off to a nice start in the dual meet with Tennessee by taking first in both the 3-meter and 1-meter dives. She posted a 299.45 in the 1-meter and a 337.65 in the 3-meter.
She is currently undefeated in the 3-meter dive and holds a 6-2 mark in the 1-meter dive.
Vincent and the rest of the Gamecock swimming and diving squad are back in action in Saturday as they head to Durham, N.C. to take on Duke at noon.
