Gamecocks Continue Play At Kitty Harrison

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – South Carolina women’s tennis won six matches on Saturday in the second day of the Kitty Harrison at North Carolina. Continuing off a strong first day, Carolina picked up a doubles and five singles wins heading into the final day of the last tournament of the fall.

In doubles, Hadley Berg and Rachel Rohrabacher earned a smooth 8-3 victory over Kane and Vazquez of Duke to close the doubles session.

In singles, Carolina picked up five wins starting with Megan Davies‘ 6-1, 6-2 win against Clara Tanielian of William and Mary. Ingrid Gamarra Martins continued the winning ways with a 6-4, 6-2 win over Natalia Perry of William and Mary. From there Mia Horvit earned a 6-3, 6-0 win over William and Mary’s Laruen Goodman.

The winning continued as Berg took down William and Mary’s Ekaterina Stepanova in a 6-0, 6-1 win. Rohrabacher then earned a quick 6-1, 6-1 win over Victoria Okuyama of William and Mary. Silvia Chinellato closed the day with an 8-3 win over Cecily Wuenscher of William and Mary.
