Gamecocks Recognized as CSCAA Scholar All-America Teams

COLUMBIA, S.C. South Carolina men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams were each named to the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America list for achieving a team GPA of 3.0 or higher which was announced by the organization on Tuesday.

The Gamecocks men’s swimming and diving team reached a team GPA of 3.40 while the women’s team achieved a 3.64. Both the men’s and women’s teams were just .02 points away from making it into the top-10 team GPA’s in the country.

South Carolina had 45 swimmers and divers (28 women and 17 men) named to the 2017-18 Winter SEC Academic Honor Roll.

The CSCAA will announce its individual Scholar All-Americans next week.
