The 2019 Class has been committed to South Carolina for a long time so I’ve been anxiously waiting for them to be able to sign the National letter of Intent,” Smith said. “On the field, This class adds depth on the mound and at the plate for us. Just as important as their softball skills, this is class adds value to the program because they are great people. I look forward to seeing Hannah, Bailey, Ellie and Karsen every day in the Garnet and Black.”

The Gamecocks are coming off a 49-17 season in which Carolina finished third in the SEC and reached its second-ever super regional. The 49 wins were the most of the Beverly Smith era as the Gamecocks won the Columbia Regional.
