Gamecocks Compete in Day One of Auburn Invite

AUBURN, Ala.- South Carolina senior diver Marissa Roth finished third in the women’s three-meter dive with a finals score of 301.55 on Monday at the Auburn Diving Invite.  The Gamecocks had six total divers (three men and three women) make the trip south for the three-day meet.

Roth’s third total score of 300 or better this season off of the three-meter board was highlighted by a 60.20 and 58.00 on her final two attempts, respectively.  Anton Down-Jenkins posted the highest finish for the Gamecocks on the men’s side, finishing sixth with a 302.50 finals score in the men’s one-meter.

Day two of the Auburn Diving Invite will continue on Tuesday at the James E. Martin Aquatic Center with the women’s one meter dive and the men’s two-meter dive.
