Gamecocks Tied for Fourth at Landfall Tradition

Wilmington, N.C. – The South Carolina women’s golf team is in the mix after the first round at the Landfall Tradition, sitting in a tie for fourth place after day one at the Pete Dye Course in Wilmington.

“We’re in a good position heading into the weekend,” head coach Kalen Anderson said. “The team played poised today, but unfortunately has a tough finish in our three-to-four holes. I like where everyone is from a mental and physical perspective. We need to stay patient and positive over the weekend.”

A pair of Gamecocks are tied for ninth place, with seniors Lois Kaye Go and Ana Pelaez both shooting 1-under on Friday. Freshman Pauline Roussin-Bouchard had a strong day shooting a even-par 72, tied for 15th place.

The Garnet and Black get round two underway at 9:15 a.m. Saturday.
