Roussin-Bouchard Competing in Spirit International Amateur Championship

Trinity, Texas – Freshman Pauline Roussin-Bouchard is among the 76 competitors at The Spirit International Amateur Championship at Whispering Pines Golf Club.  The 2019 Spirit International Amateur Golf Championship begins on Thursday (Nov. 7), and a live stream of the event will be broadcast to viewers on Twitter (@TheSpiritGolf), Golfweek.com/TheSpiritGolf and TheSpiritGolf.com.
 
Roussin-Bouchard has already made her presence known through her first few months in Columbia, helping the Gamecocks win both the Windy City Collegiate Classic and the Landfall Tradition this fall. The freshman also took the top individual honors at the Windy City.
 
A detailed schedule of the live stream events is below (times are local/central time and are subject to change):
•           Thursday, Nov. 7, noon-3 p.m. CT – First Round of Competition
•           Friday, Nov. 8, noon-3 p.m. CT – Second Round of Competition
•           Saturday, Nov. 9, noon CT through end of play – Final Round of Competition
 
The 2019 Spirit International features 76 competitors from 19 countries, representing six continents. It is a 54-hole four-ball stroke play competition, with three concurrent competition categories: international team, men’s team and women’s team. Gold, silver and bronze commemorative medals are awarded to the top finishers in each competition.
 
Viewers are encouraged to tune in for full coverage of the event with commentary by SiriusXM PGA TOUR Radio host David Marr III alongside PGA Professional Steve Scott. Sports broadcaster Will Haskett will be onsite for live interviews from Whispering Pines.
 
Seventy-six competitors from 19 countries compete for gold medals in the 54-hole four-ball stroke play competition in The Spirit International Amateur Golf Championship. Each country is represented by two women and two men amateur golfers. Previous Spirit International competitors who now are professionals on the LPGA and PGA TOUR include Jordan Spieth, Francesco Molinari, Brandt Snedeker, Jason Day, Martin Kaymer, Viktor Hovland, Lexi Thompson, Bronte Law, Lorena Ochoa, Paula Creamer, Brooke Henderson and Maria Fassi. Spirit alumni have gone on to win more than 650 professional events, including 23 major championships.
