Gamecocks Start Strong at Georgia Tech Invite

ATLANTA — South Carolina swimming and diving started strong on Friday at the first day of the Georgia Tech Fall Invite. Sophomore diver Anton Down-Jenkins continued his dominance on the board, taking home the win in the 3-meter with a score of 433.15. The Gamecocks also saw four swimmers reach the A-final of their events.
 
 
Gamecock Notables
– Senior Albury Higgs posted an NCAA B-Cut time in the 200 IM, while senior Christina Lappin and sophomore Lewis Burras both made their B-cut times in the 50 free.
– Freshman Jordan Yip Zhu Ern reached the A-Final in the 200 IM with a 1:48.61 time in the preliminaries.
– Freshman Mathilda Roxne placed sixth in the 1-meter dive, scoring 255.55.

The Gamecocks return to the pool tomorrow morning at 10 a.m. starting with the 200 medley relay.
