Watch Golf Channel

COLUMBIA, S.C. – The NCAA Division I Women’s Golf Selection Show is set for Wed., Apr. 24, at 5:30 p.m. ET. The event, which will air on Golf Channel and be streamed live at GolfChannel.com, will reveal the 72 teams and 24 individuals selected to compete at one of four regional championship sites from May 6-8.

This year’s four regional sites include Tumble Creek Golf Club in Cle Elum, Washington, hosted by the University of Washington; Jimmie Austin OU Golf Club in Norman, Oklahoma, hosted by the University of Oklahoma; Forest Akers West Golf Course in East Lansing, Michigan, hosted by Michigan State University and Greater Lansing Sports Authority; and Saugahatchee Country Club in Opelika, Alabama, hosted by Auburn University.

Carolina will make its 26th NCAA Regional appearance and qualify for the NCAA postseason for the 10th time under head coach Kalen Anderson this spring.

Each region’s top six teams and top three individual not on the advancing teams will punch a ticket to the 2019 NCAA Championship, set for May 17-22 at Blessings Golf Course in Fayetteville, Ark.

Golf Channel will broadcast the NCAA Championship for the fifth-straight year, providing more than 100 news and tournament hours for the men and women’s tournaments.

The Gamecocks boast five regional championships since 2010, winning their latest one last spring at the 2017 NCAA Columbus Regional.

The No. 11 Gamecocks collected runner-up honors at the 2019 SEC Championship this past weekend after falling to Ole Miss in the match play finals Sunday at Greystone Country Club in Birmingham, Ala. The Gamecocks finished with three top-10 individuals during the stroke-play portion of the tournament, the most since 1990 when the Gamecocks had four in the top-10 in just a five-team field in the metro-conference.

Carolina enters the NCAA postseason with top-five finishes in four of its five spring events in a stretch highlighted by its victory at the 2019 Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic.
