Gamecocks Grab CSCAA Academic Honors for 11th-Straight Semester

COLUMBIA, S.C. – For the 11th consecutive semester, Gamecock swimming and diving has earned Scholar All-America honors. South Carolina is one of 461 schools to receive the award for the Spring 2020 semester. The men’s and women’s teams both posted program-best GPAs this semester.
 
“We press our student-athletes to live out the definition of what that means,” South Carolina head swim coach McGee Moody said. “They work very hard in the pool, and their discipline carries over to the classroom. We are very proud of their efforts as they move toward their goal of graduation.”
 
For the Gamecocks, the men’s team posted a team GPA of 3.676 and the women registered a 3.898 GPA for the semester.
 
The CSCAA individual Scholar All-Americans will be announced next week.
