Buses

Bus parking will not be available for the 2021 season due to space restrictions.

Caterers

Caterers should have proper parking permits to be admitted to private tailgate areas. Permits will not be available from Gamecock Club offices and should be secured with the client.

Disabled Parking Services

Golf cart shuttle service from the Fairgrounds will be available for those with disabilities beginning 3 hours before kickoff and will continue until the game begins.

The pickup location for golf cart shuttles is located in the Fairgrounds white section by row 10 nearest the South Carolina State Fairgrounds entrance. The golf cart shuttles will transport guests to the north corners of Williams-Brice Stadium.

Golf cart shuttle service from Gamecock Park will be available for those with disabilities beginning 2-1/2 hours before kickoff and will continue until the game begins. Pickup locations are located along the Garnet Way at Quads 1 and 3. Golf cart shuttle transportation to the stadium plaza is available up to one hour prior to kickoff, or as traffic permits, at which point guests will be dropped off at the Premium North location of Gamecock Park.

Return transportation for those with disabilities to the Fairgrounds and Gamecock Park will also be available after the game. Return service begins with five minutes left in the event, until there is no one waiting at the golf cart shuttle stations. Be advised that both pedestrian and vehicular traffic are extremely heavy following the game; therefore, the wait time for golf cart shuttles may be extensive.

There are a limited number of spaces available for disabled Gamecock Club members in each lot. Requests for disabled parking should be made in writing and accompanied with a copy of the state-issued handicapped placard, to South Carolina Department of Athletics, Football Game Parking, 1304 Heyward St., Columbia, SC 29208.

Flammables

Charcoal grilling is prohibited in all South Carolina tailgating property owned, leased, or controlled by the University. All grilling must be propane gas.

Gameday Shuttles

Gameday shuttles are available at no charge for students with a valid Carolina Card, and the general public for $10 per vehicle. Public may park in lots AD3 (large gravel lot beside CLA), GS4 (lower lot A), FS4 (upper lot A).

  • NO FOOD OR BEVERAGE IS ALLOWED ON SHUTTLE (Except one sealed bottle of water)
  • Shuttle operates for all home games
  • Service begins 3 hours prior to kickoff
  • Service runs until 1.5 hours after game with limited service throughout the game
  • The large Comet buses can accommodate 20-25 individuals due COVID-19.

Pre-Game

  • Pickups are Russell House and Colonial Life Arena
  • Dropoff is on Rosewood, east of Main Gate to Fairgrounds

Post-Game

  • Pickup is on Rosewood, east of Main Gate to Fairgrounds
  • Drop offs are Russell House and Colonial Life Arena

Handicapped Patrons – Pick Ups Before and After the Carolina Football Games

  • Service begins 3 hours prior to kickoff for Saturday games
  • Service runs 1.5 hours after the game
  • Approximately 20 to 30 minutes after the games, trams will begin service once heavy pedestrian and vehicle traffic around the perimeter of the stadium decreases
  • Buses run approximately every 20 minutes
  • Gate 7 – Rows 8, 9, & 10 in the Fairgrounds to Williams Brice Stadium
  • An ADA compliant van will be waiting at Gate 7 – Rows 8, 9, & 10 to take you to Gate 10 in the Fairgrounds where you can get on a tram that can transport you to the Stadium.
  • Pedestrian and vehicle traffic will determine where the trams will be able to transport you. If traffic is heavy the drop off point will be Gate 9 in the Fairgrounds (Only handicapped patrons and their guests can cross at this area). If traffic is not heavy drop offs can be anywhere around the perimeter of the stadium.
  • If you need to leave early from the game and you parked in the Fairgrounds, you can access a golf cart tram on the NW, NE, SW, SE, & Zone quadrants of the stadium plaza. Vans and buses will also be available to get you back to the University controlled lot where your vehicle is parked.
  • After the game you can access a tram on the NW, NE, SW, SE, and Zone Gate quadrants of the stadium. The trams run approximately every 20 minutes. See map on page 56.
  • The tram will take you back to Gate 10 or Gate 7 – Rows 8, 9, & 10 in the Fairgrounds

Golf Carts, Mopeds, Scooters

For the safety of all concerned, the use of these motorized vehicles (other than those authorized) will not be allowed by fans in the vicinity of the stadium on game days. As a reminder, S.C. highway laws do not allow the use of golf carts on roadways outside of a four-mile radius from the registered address or place of business of the registered operator and must be permitted by the S.C Department of Motor Vehicles.

Liability

Neither the University of South Carolina nor the Gamecock Club will be liable for loss or damage to vehicles parked or contents on South Carolina properties as well as surrounding property owned, leased, or controlled by the University.

Limousines

Due to space constraints, limousines are not allowed in Gamecock Club controlled parking areas. Drivers should drop off guests on Key Road, near Williams-Brice Stadium, and seek parking in public lots made available by area businesses.

Media Parking

Media parking is located on Key Road. Members of the media should request parking credentials from the University of South Carolina Athletics Communications and Public Relations office. For more information, please call 803-777-5257.

Parking Lots

The gates to lots within Gamecock Park open six hours prior to kickoff, but no earlier than 8am. The Garnet Society lot will open seven hours prior to kickoff, but no earlier than 8am. All other parking lot gates will open five hours prior to kickoff, but no earlier than 8am. Vehicles should be removed no later than two hours after the conclusion of the game, or risk being locked in until the following business day.

Pregame Pageantry

Gamecock Walk, the South Carolina football team’s grand entrance into Williams-Brice Stadium, begins on the brick walkway in Gamecock Park approximately 2.5 hours prior to kick off. Teams take the field for pregame warmups approximately one hour prior to game time. Pregame festivities, including the South Carolina Marching Band and “2001”, begin approximately 30 minutes prior to kickoff. Fans are urged to arrive at their seats at least 30 minutes before kickoff and avoid leaving their seating area other than between quarters, halftime, or at the end of the game.

RV Parking

There will be no RV parking in Gamecock Park. Individuals seeking RV parking should call the SC State Fair Association at 799-3387. For a fee, spaces can be reserved that will accommodate campers and RVs.

Tailgating

Gamecock Park: Utilize the designated tent zone, which is available for each parking space. Drive areas must be cleared to allow access for emergency vehicles.

Fairgrounds: Tailgate behind your vehicle. Drive areas must be cleared to allow access for emergency vehicles.

Tents

Gamecock Park: Tents should be no larger than 10’ x 10’ and be contained within the designated tent zone.

Fairgrounds: Tents should be no larger than 10’ x 10’ and be contained within the individual parking space.

Tents should be properly weighted down to ensure the tent does not blow away during high winds. Tents should be dismantled prior to guests leaving for the game. Unattended tents are subject to removal by University officials at their discretion.

Towing

Towing of vehicles impeding the flow of traffic or obstructing the right of a member to park in assigned parking is imminent. Once a tow truck has arrived at the vehicle in violation, negotiations will be strictly between the towing company and the vehicle owner. Utility Trailers

Utility trailers are allowed in the University-operated lots with an appropriate parking pass for the vehicle and an appropriate parking pass for the trailer.
