Carolina Picked to Finish Fourth in the SEC
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The South Carolina women’s tennis team has been picked to finish fourth in the SEC regular season as released in the SEC coaches’ preseason poll on Wednesday.
Last season, the Gamecocks finished second in the SEC regular season with a 12-1 conference record. They finished behind Georgia who posted a 13-0 mark in the SEC. The two battled it out in the SEC Tournament final with Carolina coming out on top, 4-3, for its first SEC Championship in program history.
The preseason poll is voted on by the women’s tennis head coach at each institution and is based on a 14-13-12-11-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 vote. The complete tally for the poll is below.
