Softball Adds Trio Of Games

COLUMBIA, S.C. —- No. 17 South Carolina softball has added a trio of games to the 2021 schedule, head coach Beverly Smith announced Thursday. The Gamecocks will now play host to Georgia Southern for a single game with a 6:00 p.m. ET first pitch on March 10 before welcoming Gardner-Webb to Carolina Softball Stadium at Beckham Field on March 16 for a doubleheader.
 
The doubleheader against the Runnin’ Bulldogs will start at 2:30 p.m. with the second game slated to start at 5:00 p.m. Streaming options for both games will be announced at a later date while live stats will be provided for all three games through gamecocksonline.com.
 
With the addition of the trio of games, South Carolina will now have a 10-game home stand that runs from March 10-21 with games against the Eagles, Runnin’ Bulldogs, No. 20 Arkansas, Charlotte and No. 22 UCF.
 
Carolina (9-2) is coming off a 10-1 run-rule victory over in-state foe Winthrop on Wednesday. The Garnet and Black now hits the road for the Carolina Classic at Chapel Hill for four games in three days against Elon, UConn and North Carolina.
