The Gamecocks won the series finale at Vanderbilt on Sunday.
COLUMBIA – The University of South Carolina baseball team fell in midweek action to Davidson and won 1-of-3 games at No. 2 Vanderbilt this week.

NOTES:
Brady Allen and Braylen Wimmer had three hits apiece in the series finale win over Vanderbilt, including back-to-back home runs in the fourth inning. Wimmer had four hits on the weekend, including a pair of bunt singles on Sunday.
Brett Kerry earned the win on Sunday, striking out 10 in 5.2 innings pitched. Kerry is now 2-0 on the year with a 0.64 ERA and 28 strikeouts in 14 innings pitched.
Carolina lost a pitcher’s duel on Friday, 3-2, as Thomas Farr struck out nine batters in six innings of work. Farr has 19 strikeouts in the last two games vs. Texas and Vanderbilt.
Carolina was no hit by Vanderbilt’s Jack Leiter on Saturday. It was the first time the Gamecocks had been no-hit since the 1990 season. Brannon Jordan had nine strikeouts in a five-inning start, allowing three hits and two runs.
Carolina begins a five-game homestand this Tuesday night against The Citadel. That game will be on SEC Network. The Gamecocks then host Florida next weekend at Founders Park. Sunday’s game will be televised on SEC Network.
