Kroeger Named One of “Ray’s 8” for Week Four Games
Carolina Punter Recognized for Efforts Versus Kentucky
University of South Carolina sophomore punter Kai Kroeger has been selected as one of “Ray’s 8” for national Punter of the Week honors for games of week four, the Augusta Sports Council and the Ray Guy Award announced today. The winner of this week’s award will be announced on Tuesday at 10 am ET.
Kroeger, a 6-4, 195-pounder from Lake Forest, Ill., punted five times in the Kentucky contest on Saturday, averaging 42.8-yards per punt. Four of the five punts were downed inside the 20, with no returns and no touchbacks. Included was a career-best 56-yard boot.
