Gamecocks to Compete in Virginia Tech Invite

Blacksburg, VA – South Carolina swimming is in Blacksburg, Va., to compete in the Virginia Tech Invitational. The meet will begin on Fri. .Feb. 4, and run through Sat., Feb. 6, at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center.

The Gamecocks will compete against swimmers from Virginia Tech and Duke as well as some unattached athletes. The Gamecocks will not compete in any relay events.

Gamecock Notables

Sophomore Samime Ai enters the competition as the highest-seeded swimmer in the 200 and 400 IM events as well as the 100 breast.
Freshman Annaliese Streeter is entered as the highest-seeded swimmer in the 200 breast with a 2:15.43.
Sophomore Riley Parker is after her third win in the 200 freestyle. She has won the event in the past two meets with personal-best times in each.
