Schultz Earns All-American Honorable Mention

Atlanta,  Ga. – South Carolina graduate diver Brooke Schultz finished ninth in the 1-meter dive at NCAA Championships, earning All-American Honorable Mention honors.
 
Schultz placed ninth overall in the preliminary heat out of 47 divers, just shy of making the finals with the top eight divers advancing. Her score of 307.60 was good to place her as the top seed of the consolation round.
 
Schultz was consistent throughout the consolation round of eight divers. She placed first in the group with a score of 331.95, solidifying her spot at ninth overall.
 
Schultz will compete again Friday in the 3-meter dive event. Senior swimmer Mari Kraus will also compete in Friday’s competition in the 50 free. Preliminary rounds at the NCAA Championships will begin at 10 a.m. and final rounds will begin at 6 p.m.
