Tickets on Sale for 2022 Teacher Appreciation Day at Gamecock Football

by Brad Muller, Director of Content

The school year may be wrapping up soon, but South Carolina Athletics already has teachers on its mind for the fall! The Gamecocks will once again honor educators by offering discounted tickets for all educators, school staff, and their families for Gamecock Football Appreciation Day on Saturday, October 22 vs. Texas A&M as part of a partnership with the UofSC College of Education and the South Carolina Department of Education.

“It was great having teachers back in the stands for Teacher Appreciation Day in 2021,” said Blake Woodward, Director of Ticket Sales. “This year’s game is a big matchup against Texas A&M and is also during the State Fair. We are looking forward to a record number of teachers in Williams-Brice Stadium being honored and cheering on the Gamecocks.”

Tickets are only $30 each, a discount of $40 off the regular price for that game, and educators do not have to be members of the Gamecock Club to buy the tickets. Educators can buy as many tickets as they need at the discounted rate to enjoy the game with family and friends. They can also share a unique link with others that will allow them to sit together while ordering separately.

This is the eighth year in a row that South Carolina has partnered to make the event happen. Last year, more than 1,700 educators took advantage of the deal to attend.
Educators will once again be honored on the field and via the video board inside Williams-Brice Stadium.

Although ticket sales for Gamecock Football Teacher Appreciation Day are aimed at educators in South Carolina, teachers and school staff in neighboring states who are willing to make the trip to Columbia for the game are also encouraged to take advantage of the discount.
