Reynolds Named to SEC Community Service Team

Junior from Greenville led the men's golf team in service hours this year

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Junior Rafe Reynolds was named to the SEC Community Service Team on Thursday the league office announced as part of its annual men’s golf awards. The Greenville, S.C., native led the team in community service hours this season.

Reynolds participated in Camp Kemo children’s hospital visits at Prisma, Midlands Orphan Relief and the Generation Gamecock mentoring program. He also wrote Valentine’s Day Cards for patients at Prisma Health.

On the course, Reynolds logged a 72.22 scoring average in 10 events played. He had a pair of top-fives, three top-10s and four top-20 finishes. He was named SEC Golfer of the Week after notching his best collegiate performance at the Puerto Rico Classic (Feb. 12-14). Reynolds shot a career-best score of 206 (-10) en route to a T-2nd finish in the team’s spring opener which concluded yesterday at Grand Reserve Golf Club, home of the PGA TOUR’s Puerto Rico Open. He carded a bogey free 67 (-5) in the final round for a new 18-hole low score.
