COLUMBIA, SC – The 10th-ranked South Carolina women’s soccer team (5-1-1) is set to face Furman (3-2-1) at home in Stone Stadium on Sunday, Sept. 10 at 6:00 p.m. The Gamecocks’ seven seniors in Cat Barry, Brianna Behm, Rylee Forster,  Taylor Fox,  Caitlyn Leffler, Hallie Meadows and Corinna Zullo will be recognized prior to kickoff.


The Gamecocks fell in their first loss of the season to No. 3 North Carolina on Thursday, 2-1. Sophomore Shae O’Rourke got things within a goal just five minutes into the second half, but South Carolina was unable to find the tying goal before 90 minutes was up.


Sunday’s meeting with the Paladins will be the 18th all-time, with the Gamecocks leading the series 14-2-1 and is 9-1-0 in the last 10 matchups. South Carolina last saw Furman in September of 2022, recording a clean sheet with a 3-0 at home.

Furman last faced UNC Asheville on the road, suffering their second loss of the season in a tight match 2-1. The Paladins have seen four goals from Valentina Mosquera, and two from Norah Roller, while four others have scored for Furman, including Hannah Farr, Nieva Gaither, Camryn Bolick, and Julie Galie.

Gamecock fans will be able to utilize free parking in the grass lot located behind the Athletics Village Parking Garage (1300 Heyward Street) or overflow parking located at the Roost (201 South Marion). Fans will also have the option to park at any of the City of Columbia metered spots located around Stone Stadium (subject to fees required through the ParkMobile app). The Athletics Village Parking Garage will not be available.
