Carolina shot 286 (+2) in the final round of the SEC Fall Preview led by even par 71s from Harris and Carpenter Tuesday

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – South Carolina shot 286 (+2) in the final round of stroke play at the SEC Fall Preview on Tuesday. The Gamecocks were lead by transfer Frankie Harris and freshman Bo Carpenter again as the duo each shot even par 71s at Country Club of Birmingham.

Harris led the team with four birdies on the day. Carpenter made two birdies and the only blemish on his scorecard was a double bogey at the par-4 sixth hole.

Sophomore Zach Adams and transfer Laurens Schulze-Doering each shot 72 (+1) to round out the Gamecocks’ counting scores. Junior Nathan Franks shot 75 (+4).

No. 6 Auburn shot 273 (-11) today for a 54-hole total of 811 (-41). No. 3 Vanderbilt will face the Tigers in the championship match tomorrow after finishing second with a 54-hole total of 824 (-28). U.S. Amateur Champion Nick Dunlap of Alabama took home medalist honors at 15-under thanks to a 8-under 63 in today’s final round of stroke play.

South Carolina faces Kentucky tomorrow in the match play portion of the event. Live results and scoring will be available again via Golf Genuis. Carpenter is in the leadoff match against the Wildcats’ Campbell Kremer which tees off from hole 10 at 10:10 a.m. (ET). Full pairings for match play are listed at below.
