Divers Complete First Day of SEC Championships
Auburn, Ala. – South Carolina’s divers put points on the board for the team during the first day of action at the SEC Championships.
On the men’s 1-meter board, sophomore Charley Bayer finished in scoring position, placing 17th overall with a 279.55. The sophomore led the men’s team with freshmen Max Spencer in 25th and Tyler Hoard in 31st. Bayer’s 17th place finish gives the Gamecocks nine points.
In the debut of the women’s team diving event, Blair Isenhour, Mak Blake, and Aislinn Zuechner combined for a score of 229.90, placing ninth.
The SEC Championships will continue on Tuesday with the women’s 3-meter, the men’s team diving event, the 200 medley relay, and the 800 free relay. Diving prelims will begin at noon eastern time with finals starting at 6:00 p.m. ET. Live results and streaming link can be found here.
