Pro Timing Day Set for Tuesday, March 12


The South Carolina football program will hold its annual Pro Timing Day on Tuesday morning, March 12, when 15 former Gamecock players are slated to work out for NFL coaches and scouts.

Those former Gamecock players expected to participate include: Ahmarean Brown, Marcellas Dial, Jabari Ellis, Nick Gargiulo, DeAngelo Gibbs, Tyreek Johnson, Dakereon Joyner, Trey Knox, Xavier Legette, Eddie Lewis, Dante Miller, Spencer Rattler, Tyrese Ross, Jordan Strachan and D.J. Twitty.

Dial, Knox, Gargiulo, Legette and Rattler were invited to the NFL Combine, which took place in Indianapolis over the past several days.

The event will begin in the Long Family Football Operations facility weight room at 8 am and conducted in the following order: Height/Weight, Wingspan, Arm, Hand, Vertical Jump, and Bench Press.

The testing will then continue in the Jerri and Steve Spurrier Indoor Practice Facility at approximately 9 am with the Broad Jump, 40-yard dash, Short Shuttle, and 3-Cone drills. Following the testing, individual position drills will be conducted on the field.

The event is closed to the general public.
