COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The 22nd ranked South Carolina softball team (18-4, 0-2) fell in extra innings to 17th ranked Texas A&M (22-2, 2-0) Saturday night (March 9) 2-1 in 10 innings.

The Aggies scored in the first, bringing home a run with two outs. Carolina answered in the second, loading the bases with no outs. Giulia Desiderio was hit by a pitch to bring home Zoe Laneaux.

That would be the only scoring until the 10th inning, when Texas A&M got a two-out home run to earn the victory. South Carolina had put a runner on in the top of the 10th but were unable to scratch across a run.

The series finale is tomorrow at 2 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on the SEC Network.
