Baseball Faces Georgia State in North Augusta Tuesday Night

• South Carolina makes the hour trip to SRP Park in North Augusta, S.C., to face Georgia State on Tuesday, March 12..
• SRP Park is home to the Augusta Greenjackets, the Single A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves.
• First pitch for Tuesday’s game is set for 7 p.m.

SERIES VS. GEORGIA STATE

• Carolina leads the all-time series with Georgia State, 7-4, heading into Tuesday night’s contest.

• Brewer was 3-for-7 with a run scored, an RBI and three walks in the two games against Clemson on March 2-3.
• Brewer currently is tied for fifth in the SEC in batting average and third in on-base percentage (.549).

• Ethan Petry leads the team with 17 walks, which is tied for third in the SEC.
• Talmadge LeCroy has 16 walks, which is tied for fifth in the SEC.
• The Gamecocks walked 18 times in the 22-6 win over Longwood on March 10. It’s the most dating back to 2005 (first year of game-by-game stats available).
• Carolina’s is averaging 9.19 walks per game.
