Game Times and Networks Set for First Three Football Contests

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Game times and networks have been set for the first three games of the 2024 South Carolina football season, the Southeastern Conference announced today.

The Gamecocks will open the 2024 season against Old Dominion on Saturday, August 31. Game time has been set for 4:15 pm ET at Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia, and the game will be televised on the SEC Network. The non-conference gridiron battle will be the first between the Gamecocks and Monarchs, who compete in Conference USA.

South Carolina will open its SEC slate on Saturday, September 7 at Kentucky. As previously announced, kick time is set for 3:30 pm ET and the game will be televised nationally on ABC. The Gamecocks lead the all-time series over the Wildcats by a 20-14-1 margin, including a 10-8 advantage when the game has been played in the Blue Grass state. South Carolina has won each of the last two contests, posting a 24-14 win in 2022, the last time the two teams met in Kentucky, and a 17-14 triumph last year when the teams tangled in Columbia.

The SEC home opener for the Gamecocks is set for Saturday, September 14, when South Carolina hosts LSU. Kick time has been set for noon ET and, for the second week in a row, the game will be televised nationally on ABC. The Tigers have won 19 of the previous 22 meetings between the two squads, including the last seven in a row. South Carolina’s last win over the Bayou Bengals came in Baton Rouge in 1994, while its lone victory in Columbia came in the very first meeting between the two schools, back in 1930.

Other game times and television networks for the 2024 season will be announced at a later date.

Single-game tickets for all home games are on sale for Silver Spur and above Gamecock Club now and for Full Scholarship and below on Mon., June 3, at 10 a.m. via their South Carolina Account Manager. General public single-game sales will begin later in June.
