Oct. 12 Showdown between Gamecocks and Top-Ranked Alabama Set for ABC
The October 12 SEC showdown between the South Carolina Gamecocks and the top-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide will be televised nationally on ABC, the Southeastern Conference office announced today. As announced previously, game time is set for noon ET (11 am CT) at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa.
That contest will mark Carolina’s first trip to Bryant-Denny Stadium since 2009. Alabama leads the all-time series by a 13-3 margin including an 8-1 advantage at home, but the teams have split the last six meetings evenly. The teams last met in 2019 in Columbia, a 47-23 Alabama win.
South Carolina (3-1, 1-1 SEC) will host No. 12/11 Ole Miss (4-1, 0-1 SEC) on Saturday, Oct. 5, while Alabama (4-0, 1-0 SEC) visits Vanderbilt (2-2, 0-1 SEC).
