South Carolina Swimming & Diving Split for Midseason Action
COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina swimming & diving will split up for their respective midseason competitions this week. Swimming remains home to host their third annual Gamecock Invitational while diving travels to Athens, Georgia for the UGA Fall Invitational. Both events take place from Nov. 20-22.
South Carolina welcomes University of North Carolina, UNCW, University of Tampa, East Carolina University, Vanderbilt, Milligan, Carson-Newman University, University of North Florida and Georgia Southern for the swim only Gamecock Invitational.
Prelims begins at 10:00 a.m. for all three days of the event. Finals will start at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday. Friday finals kick off at 4:00 p.m.
Psych sheets, heat sheets and results will be posted on the Gamecock Invitational Information page. Live results will be available on the subscription-based Meet Mobile app.
Admission to the Gamecock Invitational is free for all sessions. Doors will open for spectators one hour prior to each session and a clear bag policy will be in effect. Spectators must remain in the upstairs gallery and will not be permitted on the pool deck at any time.
The divers get an early SEC Championship preview at their midseason meet as they will be joined by Florida, Georgia, LSU, Alabama, Missouri as well as Wisconsin and Georgia Southern for the UGA Fall Invitational.
The meet takes place at the Gabrielsen Natatorium with diving prelims kicking off at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday and Thursday. Consolation finals are at 1:10 p.m. while finals start at 6:10 p.m. for both days. On Friday, platform finals begin at 11:30 a.m. The invitational will be streamed on the ESPN+ and results will be posted on the DiveMeets app.
