Gamecocks Wrap Up NCAAs with Two All-American Honors and Two School Records

FEDERAL WAY, Wash. – The South Carolina women’s swimming & diving team completed the fourth and final day of the 2025 NCAA Championships with two more Gamecocks earning All-American status and two new school records.

Amy Riordan kicked off the final prelims session of the meet on a high note in the 200 back, shaving off over a second from her seeded personal best time to clock a 1:51.23. The time broke her own record in the event, previously set last season, and qualified her for finals as she placed 10th overall.

Peyton Curry swam a 48.68 in the 100 free for 48th place. Delaney Franklin clocked a 2:12.72 in the 200 breaststroke, finishing in 49th place overall.

Greta Pelzek broke 1:53.00 in the 200 fly for the second time in her career, clocking a 1:52.91 to book a spot in the championship final after placing 8th. Breckin Gormley swam a 1:58.24.

Riordan began finals for the Gamecocks with a 15th place finish in the 200 back, clocking a 1:51.65 to earn an All-American honorable mention title for the second consecutive season.

Pelzek held on to her seeded placement in the 200 fly, remaining eighth after swimming a 1:53.93. The senior capped off her collegiate swimming career as the highest finishing Gamecock at this meet, earning All-American status in the event.

The 400 free relay of Curry, Dylan Scholes, Ellery Ottem and Riordan wrapped up the meet with a school record of 3:14.03.

The Gamecocks finished in 24th place with 28 points out of 43 teams.
