Men’s Swimming & Diving Set for NCAA Championships

FEDERAL WAY, Wash. – For the second consecutive season, the South Carolina men’s swimming & diving team will be sending Connor Fry and Max Spencer to the NCAA Championships.

The event is hosted at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatics Center from Wed., March 26 to Sat., March 29. The Gamecocks are slated to compete on Thurs., March 27 and Sat., March 29.

Fry officially qualified in the 1650 freestyle at the Bulldog Invitational Qualifying Meet at the beginning of the month after swimming a best time of 14:46.89 which ranks fourth all-time in South Carolina program history. He is seeded 18th in the event going into NCAAs. The sophomore will also swim the 500 free as he swam a B cut of 4:17.47 at SEC Championships.

Spencer qualified for the platform following his performance at Zone B Championships where he placed fifth in the championship heat with a 380.95 final score.
