Gamecocks Set to Play LSU Under the Lights at Death Valley
The South Carolina Gamecocks and LSU Tigers will meet under the lights at Death Valley in Baton Rouge, La. on Saturday, Oct. 11, the Southeastern Conference office announced today.
The game will kick at either 7, 7:30 or 7:45 pm ET (6, 6:30 or 6:45 pm in Baton Rouge) and will be televised on either ESPN, ABC or the SEC Network. The exact time and network will be determined following the conclusion of games on Saturday, Oct. 4.
This will be the 24th all-time meeting between South Carolina and LSU, with the Tigers holding a commanding 20-2-1 advantage in the series including a 13-1 mark when the game is played in Baton Rouge. LSU has won the last eight meetings, including a 36-33 win in Columbia last season. South Carolina’s last win came by an 18-17 margin in Death Valley on Oct. 1, 1994.
The Gamecocks (3-2, 1-2 SEC) are coming off a 35-13 win over Kentucky, while the 13th-ranked Tigers (4-1, 1-1 SEC) dropped their first contest of the season at Ole Miss on Saturday by a 24-19 count. Both teams are idle this week.
