South Carolina Picks Up Three Wins on Opening Day of Gamecock Invitational

COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina completed the first day of the 2025 Gamecock Invitational on Tuesday evening inside Carolina Natatorium. The opening day of the invitational consisted of the 1650 freestyle and the 800 freestyle relay events.

WOMEN

  • Nora Fluck grabbed the first win of the week in the 1650 freestyle with a time of 16:23.74. Emma Reiser finished third (16:30.32) and Breckin Gormley finished close behind in fourth (16:32.80).
  • In the final event of the evening, the team of Jordan Agliano, Ellery Ottem, Breckin Gormley and Fluck picked up the victory in the 800 freestyle relay with a time of 7:08.88, the ninth-fastest time in program history.

MEN

  • Connor Fry grabbed the win in the 1650 freestyle with a time of 14:53.97, with Pierre Largeron following right behind in second with the ninth-fastest time in program history (15:02.02).
  • The 800 freestyle relay team of Bexon Harrison, Ryan Hufford, Largeron and Raymond Prosinski notched a time of 6:21.40, earning them a second-place finish and placing them sixth in program history.
