Men’s 4x400 Meter Relay Earns Weekly SEC Honor
COLUMBIA, S.C. (Feb. 17, 2026) – Just one day following their national recognition, South Carolina men’s 4×400 meter relay quartet of Josiah Wrice, Jasauna Dennis, Devan Crumpton and Andrew Salvodon have notched another weekly award. South Carolina’s record-setting relay squad has been named SEC Men’s Runner(s) of the Week.
The 4x400m relay squad put on a display on Saturday afternoon at the Tiger Paw Invitational, with not just a program record, but the second fastest relay time in collegiate history after running 3:00.86. Wrice opened with a 45.42 split, before handing off to Dennis who clocked a 45.15 400m leg. Crumpton was able to keep the Gamecocks comfortably in front with a 45.28 leg, handing the baton off to Salvodon who was able to close things out by running a 45.02 split.
The quartet rank first as a relay team in the NCAA this season and are part of a 400m squad that sits third in the latest USTFCCCA event squad rankings.
The Gamecocks will close out the 2026 indoor regular season this weekend when they host the USC Invite on Saturday, Feb. 21 at the Sheila & Morris Cregger Indoor Track.
