Senior lineman who was a leader along the offensive line… versatile performer who began and ended his collegiate career as a guard, but also played right tackle and center… played in 46 games over the past four seasons, making 38 starts (27 at left guard, eight at right tackle and three at center)… graduated in December with a degree in criminal justice… invited to the NFL Combine.

2018: Returned to his more natural position of left guard in the spring after serving as the starting right tackle in 2017… selected as one of four permanent team captains following the season… named to Athlon Sports’ 2018 pre-season second-team All-SEC unit… recognized as a second-team All-SEC performer by both the Associated Press and by the league’s 14 coaches… given the Tenacity Award for the offense by his teammates… suffered a broken right fibula in the regular season finale against Akron and missed the Belk Bowl… graded out as the top left guard in the SEC in Carolina’s win over Coastal Carolina according to Pro Football Focus… earned a spot on the Pro Football Focus National Team of the Week for his performance against Tennessee… invited to the East-West Shrine All-Star game… graduated in December with a degree in criminal justice.

2016: Most consistent and highest performing offensive lineman… started every game at left guard… served as team captain at Kentucky… made his 10th career start against Texas A&M and served as a team captain against the Aggies… made his 20th career appearance in the Tennessee win… served as a team captain against Florida… shared the offense’s Tenacity Award with Hayden Hurst, as selected by the players following the season.

2015: True freshman… played in all 12 games making five starts, three at center and two at left guard… saw time on special teams against North Carolina… moved into the backup role at center after the ankle injury to Cody Waldrop and played on special teams against Kentucky… pressed into regular service at Georgia after an ankle injury to Alan Knott… made his first career start against UCF and graded out at 80 percent… also made the start at center at Missouri and versus Vanderbilt… moved to left guard where he made the start against The Citadel due to an injury to Mike Matulis… also started at left guard against Clemson.

HIGH SCHOOL: Highly regarded in-state offensive lineman who graduated from Summerville High School in 2015… was one of five finalists for South Carolina’s Mr. Football award… helped legendary coach John McKissick and the Green Wave to an 8-5 record and to the second round of the Class AAAA Division I playoffs as a senior… played left guard for the Sandlappers in the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas where he was recognized as the strongest player at the game… considered a four-star prospect, the No. 2 player in the state, the fifth-best offensive guard in the country and No. 72 overall by Rivals… rated a three-star prospect and the 29th-best offensive guard in the country by Scout… regarded as a four-star prospect, the fourth-best player in the state, the 12th-best offensive guard in the country and No. 247 overall by 247Sports… ranked as a four-star prospect, the fifth-best player in the state, the No. 15 offensive guard in the country and No. 220 overall by ESPN… had offers from all over the Southeast.
