Nick Harvey

Senior defensive back who spent the past four years at Texas A&M… wore No. 1 for the Aggies… joined the Gamecocks as a graduate transfer and will be eligible to play his final season of college football in 2018… expected to make an immediate impact in the defensive secondary… has appeared in 38 games, including 13 starts at cornerback in his career, collecting 109 tackles and 14 pass break ups with one interception… also owns one punt return for a touchdown.

2016: Started 12 games at cornerback, leading the Aggies with 10 pass breakup… ranked fourth on the team with 66 tackles, including 46 solo stops… returned one punt and took it 73 yards for a touchdown… recorded career high in tackles and tackles for loss with 11 and 1.5 against UCLA… had at least five tackles in eight of 12 games, including five vs. South Carolina… had multiple passes broken up in three games… recovered a fumble and recorded six tackles against Tennessee… hauled in his first career pick on the road against Mississippi State… missed the UTSA game due injury.

2015: Ranked as the Aggies’ top pass defender off the bench with 29 tackles and four pass breakups while seeing extensive action in every game… also contributed two tackles for loss of yardage… had a season-high five tackles against LSU… also saw limited action as a returner.

2014: Solid first season with 14 tackles while seeing action in every game… made a start against SMU… had a season-high four tackles against Mississippi State… contributed three tackles and a tackle for loss against Alabama… returned four punts for 62 yards with a long of 30 against Lamar.

HIGH SCHOOL: Coached by Randy Cunningham at Travis HS in Richmond, Texas… U.S. Army All-American… three-time all-district pick… as a senior, completed 38-of-72 passes for 531 yards and 6 touchdowns; had 64 carries for 364 yards and 10 touchdowns and made 26 receptions for 283 yards and six touchdowns… earned first-team all-state honors honors as a junior after making 50 tackles, six interceptions and 15 PBUs.

PERSONAL: Nick Harvey was born November 3, 1995… earned his undergraduate degree from Texas A&M in university studies with a concentration in agriculture and life sciences.
