Mason Harris Bio
Fourth-year player who has worked at both defensive end and linebacker in his Gamecock career… listed as a second-team defensive end entering the fall… has the quickness and speed to put pressure on the quarterback coming off the edge… given the ‘Everday Effort’ award for the defense in the spring.
2013: Sophomore defensive end who played in 12 games, making seven stops… credited with a half-sack in the season-opening win over North Carolina and with a half-sack and a quarterback hurry in the win over Vanderbilt… logged two tackles each against UNC and Kentucky… used primarily on special teams late in the season… garnered Rex Enright Defensive Player of the Spring accolades, awarded at the Garnet & Black spring game.
2012: Redshirt freshman who played on special teams… logged three tackles in six games… a member of the SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll.
