Jessica Jackson

Jessica Jackson

Jessica Jackson has served as Director of On-Campus Recruiting at the University of South Carolina since January 2016. Her responsibilities include coordination of official and unofficial visits, managing compliance records, gameday operations and a database of over 12,000 recruits. She is the eligibility center liaison and ensures smooth transitions for players. She also oversees the recruiting department and day-to-day recruiting operations. To date she has recruited 30+ active NFL athletes.

Jackson attended the University of Alabama where she served as a football recruiting and operations assistant. She was a part of the 2011 & 2012 BCS National Championship staff and contributed to four-consecutive No. 1 ranked recruiting classes. While at Alabama she was a member of the rowing and weightlifting teams as well as the Theta Sigma Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She graduated in 2014 with a degree in kinesiology, and a minor in psychology.

Post-graduation, Jackson joined the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl event staff and assisted in coordinating the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl’s inaugural year in the College Football Playoffs. While at the Peach Bowl, she coordinated two season opener kick-off games; including the Alabama Crimson Tide, Boise State Broncos, Ole Miss Rebels, and West Virginia Mountaineers. She also welcomed the Ole Miss Rebels and TCU Horned Frogs to a week-long bowl event.

In 2020 while working full time, Jackson earned her MBA from Louisiana State University with a 4.0 GPA. Jackson is passionate about creating opportunities and curriculums to properly train those interested in working at the highest level in sports.

A native of Fayetteville, Ga,, she started her career early as a football office aide at the football powerhouse Sandy Creek High School. She currently resides in Columbia, S.C. with her two dogs, Mason and Major, and enjoys crafting, interior design and running.
