True freshman who saw action in eight games… dealt with bone spurs in the off-season, limiting him in fall camp…most of his action came on special teams… worked at tight end early in the season… did not play in the season opener or against LSU… moved to linebacker for the final few weeks of the season to add depth at that position… did not record any statistics.
HIGH SCHOOL
Graduated from Reeltown (Ala.) High School in 2020… three-sport athlete… played both wide receiver and outside linebacker on the gridiron… helped the Rebels post a 13-2 record and reach the Class 2A championship game as a senior… an Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Game participant… tore an ACL during his junior season causing him to miss the last half of the football season and the basketball season… coached by Matt Johnson… averaged 20.9 points and 8.2 rebounds on the hardwood as a sophomore… was a six-time state track & field champion… won three consecutive 110-meter high hurdle titles… won three titles in the spring of 2019 (high jump, 110m hurdles and 300m hurdles) just six months removed from ACL surgery… also qualified for the state finals in the shot put… Rivals considered him the 14th-best player in the Peach State and the 16th-best tight end in the country… 247Sports Composite ranked him as the 10th-best player in Alabama, the seventh-best “athlete” in the country and No. 255 overall.
