Maurice Brown II

* 2024 Most Improved Player of the Spring – Special Teams

Second-year walk-on tight end who lettered in his first season in Columbia as a special teams performer… figures to help on teams again as a sophomore after being recognized as the Most Improved player on special teams during the spring and could figure in a role at tight end.

2023 (Freshman)

True freshman walk-on who joined the team in January… worked his way into regular action as a special teams performer… saw action in each of the final 11 games of the regular season… credited with one tackle against Texas A&M.

2022 (Prep School)

Was a member of Army Prep’s 2022 football team.

HIGH SCHOOL

Graduated from C.H. Flowers High School in Springdale, Md., in 2022… played tight end but also saw action at wide receiver, quarterback and running back… coached by Dameon Powell… helped the Jaguars to an 11-2 record and a spot in the Maryland 4A state semifinals as a senior in 2021… caught 18 passes for 300 yards and scored 11 touchdowns, including five receiving and six rushing… earned Washington Post All-Met honors and was a first-team Maryland 4A performer… selected to play in the Maryland All-Star game.
