Fifth-year senior who figures to compete for the starting signal-caller duties again in 2016… listed as a co-starter along with freshman Brandon McIlwain entering the fall… broke his left collarbone on March 26 in a spring practice and underwent surgery later that same day… a former walk-on, he logged a 1-7 record as a starter in 2015… has appeared in 14 career games, completing 54.5 percent of his passes (144-of-264) for 1,934 yards with 12 touchdowns and nine interceptions… has also rushed 54 times for 125 yards and two scores… named the Harold White GPA Award recipient for the offense at the 2016 Garnet & Black Spring Game.

2015: Former walk-on who established himself as the No. 1 signal-caller… was 1-7 as a starter… completed 143-of-261 passes (54.8 percent) for 1,929 yards and 12 touchdowns with nine interceptions… also rushed 53 times for 138 yards and two scores… stepped in against Kentucky after Connor Mitch was sidelined with injuries… completed 13-of-20 passes for 179 yards and a touchdown against the Wildcats… made his first career start at Georgia… completed 6-of-17 passes for 66 yards with an interception… scored on a four-yard quarterback keeper against the Bulldogs… completed 14-of-28 passes for 200 yards and two touchdowns with one interception at LSU… topped that performance against Vanderbilt when he set then-career highs for completions (17), attempts (28) and yards passing (272), along with a 78-yard TD pass to Pharoh Cooper… was 15-for-24 for 192 yards and rushed 11 times for 64 yards, including a career-long 66-yarder, at Texas A&M… set then-career highs in completions (20), attempts (39) and touchdown passes (3) while throwing for 233 yards at Tennessee… threw a 38-yard TD pass to Cooper and caught a 17-yard TD pass from Cooper against Florida… had the most productive game of his career against The Citadel, connecting on 28-of-43 passes for 367 yards and a touchdown… matched his career high with three touchdown passes against Clemson… named to the SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll… shared Most Improved Quarterback honors in the spring with Connor Mitch.

2014: Saw action in one game… went 0-for-2 passing against Furman in his second career game… recognized as the Most Improved Quarterback and earned the Big Plays award for the offense during the 2014 spring drills.

2013: Enrolled at Carolina in January and joined the football squad in time for spring practices… saw brief action late in the game against Coastal Carolina, completing his only pass attempt for five yards.

2012: Spent the fall semester at Florida State College, a community college in Jacksonville… did not play football.

HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Ponte Vedra (Fla.) High School in 2012… coached by Mike Loyd… helped his team to the district title as a senior… set school records for both a season (2011) and career in passing yards, completion percentage and touchdown passes… played in the 2011 Shrine Bowl in Jacksonville… threw for 1,800 yards and a school-record 17 touchdowns in his junior season when he was second-team all-district and all-conference… also played baseball, starting for the varsity team as an eighth grader… hit .475 in 2012 while helping his team to a runnerup finish in the Florida 5A playoffs.

PERSONAL: Perry Philip Orth was born April 29, 1993… is a business economics major… father, Rusty, played football at West Virginia… brother, Calvin, played baseball at The Citadel… worked for a local grocery store stocking shelves to help pay for his education until he was placed on scholarship.
