Scott Spurrier

Scott Spurrier, who has been part of the South Carolina football family since joining the squad as a walk-on wide receiver in 2006, begins eighth year as a member of the Gamecocks’ football coaching staff and his third year as a full-time staff member.

Spurrier was given the title of analyst by head coach Will Muschamp in 2016 after spending the 2014 and 2015 seasons as the quality control coordinator for the offense under former head coach Steve Spurrier.

Spurrier, the youngest son of the legendary Head Ball Coach, earned his bachelor’s degree in sport and entertainment management from the University of South Carolina in 2009. He toiled in the football offices as a graduate assistant until being promoted to a full-time position in 2014.

Spurrier and his wife, Jennifer, have one daughter, Charlotte, and are expecting their second child in September.
