Fourth-year offensive lineman who can play either center or guard… expected to compete for playing time in 2009 after seeing limited action in 2008… listed as the number two center entering the fall behind incumbent Garrett Anderson… a smart player who is considered very coachable… has made six career starts.

2008: Reserve offensive lineman who played in both the Wofford and UAB games.

2007: Made the most starts (6) at the left guard position of the three players who earned starting assignments… made his first collegiate start against Mississippi State in week 5… held that starting slot through the next five weeks, also getting the nod against Kentucky, North Carolina, Vanderbilt, Tennessee and Arkansas.

2006: Redshirted as a true freshman.

High School: Graduated from Countryside High School in Clearwater, Fla. in 2006 where he was coached by John Davis… started every game over his final three seasons… went 27 straight games without missing an offensive snap… rated among the top 40 offensive guards in the country by Rivals.com and was tabbed as the No. 71 player in the state of Florida by the web site… represented the state of Florida in the 2005 CaliFlorida Bowl along with fellow Gamecock Kevin Young… first-team all-county and All-Sun Coast selection… member of the Class 5A second-team All-State team as selected by the Florida Sports Writers Association… helped Countryside to a 9-2 record his senior year.
