Connor McLaurin Bio
2014: Senior fullback who played in all 13 games making four starts… considered an outstanding blocker… had starts against Texas A&M, East Carolina, Vanderbilt and Auburn… did not have any carries but caught one pass against Georgia for no yards… made nine career starts with two receptions for 15 yards.
2013: Former walk-on who saw action in all 12 regular season games, making five starts at fullback… also used on special teams… touched the ball for the first time in his career versus Clemson when he caught a key 15-yard pass… broke his left leg in practice two days prior to the bowl game… earned the Outstanding Weight Room award for the offense at the 2013 Garnet & Black Spring Game… granted a scholarship prior to the start of the season.
2012: Saw limited action in the backfield as a blocker and also on special teams… played in all 13 games… recorded one tackle… tabbed as one of four Outstanding Walk-ons at the 2012 Garnet & Black Spring Game.
2011: Moved from linebacker to fullback during fall camp to provide needed depth at the position… saw action in five games on special teams… notched one tackle against Arkansas.
2010: Joined the program as a walk-on linebacker in the fall.
2009: Attended Wake Tech Community College in Raleigh, N.C.
HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Garner (N.C.) Magnet High School in 2009… coached by Nelson Smith… lettered three years in football… named the top defensive player in the conference, was a two-time first-team all-league performer and was a first-team all-academic selection… team won the conference title and reached the fourth round of the playoffs… turned down a scholarship offer from Fayetteville State.
PERSONAL: Connor Keith McLaurin has earned his degree in public health… father, Howard, played football at East Carolina.
