Patrick Fish Bio

2014: Served as the holder on placements in every game for the past two seasons … took two punts against Furman with an average of 39 yards… along with snapper Ryland Culbertson, had a role in helping placekicker Elliott Fry earn second-team All-SEC accolades… recognized as the ‘Most Improved’ special teams holder in the spring.

2013: Junior who served as the holder on placements for the first time in his career… a key part of the unit that helped freshman kicker Elliott Fry convert 15-of-18 field goals and 54-of-55 extra point attempts… also served as the backup punter but was not used in that capacity… earned the Jim Carlen Special Teams Player of the Spring at the 2013 Garnet & Black Spring Game.

2012: Redshirt sophomore punter… served as a backup to Tyler Hull… saw action against East Carolina and Florida… averaged 35.0 yards on three punts with a long of 47… one of his punts was inside the 20.

2011: Competed with Joey Scribner-Howard for the starting punting chores in fall camp… fell short in that battle and did not see any game action.

2010: Redshirted as a true freshman.

HIGH SCHOOL: Handled the kicking duties at Burns High School in Lawndale, N.C., graduating in 2010… played for coach Matt Beam… was a three-year starter for the Bulldogs… also played soccer… considered a two-star prospect by both Rivals.com and Scout.com… considered the nation[apos]s 23rd-best kicker by Rivals.com… selected Carolina over Duke, Illinois and Gardner-Webb.

PERSONAL: Patrick Fish was born August 21, 1991… owns a degree in sport and entertainment management… father, Woody, is a former head football coach at Gardner-Webb.
