Chris Moody ready for elevated role at safety spot

2016: Senior defensive back who played in 11 games including eight starts… logged 46 tackles, an interception and one fumble recovery… earned his first start of the season against East Carolina in his 40th career appearance as a Gamecock… led the Gamecocks and set a then-career-high with nine tackles (six solo) at Kentucky… made his 10th career start against Texas A&M and finished with one tackle and one fumble recovery… notched three tackles and a quarterback hurry against Georgia… tallied eight tackles (five solo) in the UMass win… led the team and set a career-high with 11 tackles in the Missouri win… also made a game-sealing interception in the 4th quarter as Carolina knocked off the Tigers… made three tackles against Florida but left the game in the 1st quarter with a knee injury… did not play against either Western Carolina or Clemson due to the injury… finished his career with 15 starts among his 48 games played.
